One of the country's leading museums, the Philadelphia Museum of Art was modeled after the ancient Greek temples. Designed by Julian Francis Abele, it was built in 1928 of Minnesota dolomite. Outside you can enjoy running up the staircase made famous by Rocky, and inside you can enjoy paintings, sculptures, textiles, and entire structures such as a 13th century French cloister.
